Historical Female Italian Clubs

Hester Venezia Zimmerman is a professional seamstress who specializes only in "historical" dresses. Here she poses at the end of a long day she spent dancing Belle époque ballades on the Gianicolo terrance in Rome on April 22, 2018.

The event was organized by two groups "Belle époque," an historical female Italian club and the "Academy of Victoria Dance," a dance school met for a day where instructor Vittorio Viscardi lead the two into a marathon of 1800's Victorian dances.

All the women were asked to wear crinoline skits, made of bone hoops to hold and give the fabrics the shape of wide circumferences such as the ones at the time of the belle époque.
