Historical Female Italian Clubs

Women of the group "In the World of Jane Austen," an historical female Italian club, walk over the Decumanus Maximus, the main Roman road built with giant cobble stones, during the morning promenade walk in Ostia Antica organized on April 14, 2018.

The group was created by Valeria Valenziano about four years ago with the idea of sharing her obsession with Jane Austen's book, clothing, etiquette and historical richness with other women in Rome who could appreciate and re-live those time periods every other Sunday while adapting within the daily reality of the Italian capitol.

The experiment has been going so well, the group now counts over 30 active members. And there is a plan to bring the women abroad for a week-long immersion in England this summer to really bring the Jane Austen's spirit to a whole other level.
